DEF NEON’s music is an eclectic and energetic mix of rock, dirty electro and bass music; with the last few years seeing them deliver their unique brand of genre-hopping mayhem to audiences at countless events and festivals across the UK, sharing stages with the likes of 65daysofstatic, The Orb, Death In Vegas, Peter Hook, Pop Will Eat Itself and The Birthday Massacre.
The North Wales duo build up to the release of their upcoming War Beats album with new single Kid. An anthem for the underdog in all of us, Kid’s reflective lyrics and musical nod to the 90s club scene reveal a different aspect to DEF NEON, both musically and personally.
The band had this to say about the song:
“Kid is for all those out there who have fought through the hard words from doubters and obstacles life has placed in their way to carve out a life of their own. Being strong in adversity, staying true to yourself when people and circumstances are against you is hard but worth it in the end.”
Kid is released on the 23rd of October via AnalogueTrash on all good digital platforms, or via the label’s Bandcamp site on a pay-what-you-want basis.
